The SAFDF concerts showcases the beautiful talent and energy of local performing folk dance groups, plus special guests from further away. These performances, together with the fabulous ambiance and professional stage of OLLU's Thiry Auditorium, combine for an unforgettable evening of music, song, and dance.

In 2017, SAFDF was proud to showcase these performing groups:

  • Academy of Serbian Folk Dancing (Toronto, Canada)
  • Uzori Folk Dance Group (Houston, TX), presenting dances from Russia
  • Panamanian Folklore Dancers (Killeen, TX)
  • School of Science and Technology (SST) Turkish Folk Dance Team (San Antonio, TX)
  • Alamotion Dance Troupe (San Antonio, TX), presenting Scottish and modern dance
  • Serbian Cultural Association Zavicaj (Houston, TX)
  • Fandango Dance Troupe (San Antonio, TX)
  • Hula Halau Ohana Elikapeka (San Antonio, TX), performing Polynesian dances
  • Komenka Ethnic Dance Ensemble (New Orleans, LA), performing Filipino and American disco dances
  • Alegria Dance Company (San Antonio, TX), performing Mexican folklorico dances

In 2018, SAFDF will celebrate its 60th anniversary with two of its stunning concerts. We're still compiling the lineup of groups. Watch this page for further details!
